"I hope you don't burn out.. or fade away"*

watched this video the other day during ugama class called Islam: the Empire of Faith. heard of that ? well, i have. jz havent seen it until last wk. so this "documentary" was all abt Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) n how he managed to spread the religion across many countries with the help of his loved ones, frens n families. of course, the show didnt have anyone re-enacting the Prophet. jz random images showing how life was during that time. the ironic thing is.. it was filmed by this guy called Ben Kingsley n most of the "experts" in this area were non-Muslims. they were from several universities all across America n all of them, apparently, took interest in Islamic studies. they studied the Qur'an n managed to put the puzzles together. how he lived, what he felt at that time, how he spread the religion n so forth, by deriving from the Qur'an of course.

it kinda saddens me that these ppl, non-Muslims are far more interested in, supposedly to be, our area of interest when we ourselves are not. well, maybe we are interested in it. jz can't bring ourselves to actually study it. right ?

i, for one, am interested in the History of Islam. but whenever Ustazah comes in n says, "open ur Sirah book to page blah blah.." n the reaction she gets will always be, "*groans*".

maybe cos its a Sunday-only religious class n that everyone thinks this class is redundant. i felt the same way when i was in secondary sch. i felt that circular studies is much much more important than religious studies. cos with circular studies, i can get to Universities in Singapore n achive more in life. with a diploma or a degree or sth. i felt that i can study these religious stuffs when i get older. but the fact of the matter is, will i ever get the chance to age gracefully ? will i see ugly wrinkles form on my forehead ? n if i dun, would i know ?

by then, it will be too late aint it ?

the Ustaz used to say to us: "junjung akhirat kamu di atas kepala dan gengam dunia kamu dgn kedua tangan kamu. dan jika akhirat kamu tak stable, lepas kan lah dunia kamu untuk membetul kan akhirat mu."

a difficult thing to do ? u bet. i dun think any one of us can do that. considering the world we're living in. but it's always good to have a balance of both. i gotta start working on that.

i know im in no position to advice on this matter. im no Perfect Muslim nor am i an Ustazah. im jz putting my thoughts into words in this redundant blog of mine. well, it is my blog. food for thought i guess. n im not preaching yaa.

so moving on, right now im thinking abt my SIP. i wonder where i will be attached to. n with who. hmmmms. n of course, the money. hehe. i need money can. we were informed that some of us won't get any allowance. zzzzzz. what kind of an attachment is that ? sighs. oh well. guess we'll find out on Tuesday. *prays real hard*

n im wondering when am i ever gonna take my driver's license. im sooooo jealous watching fidz n feez drive. GRRR. i wan drive tooooo. looks so fun ! hehe. ohyea did i mention i did drive the other day ? hehehehe. eh i did okay. im not kidding. no, not Daytona. not on PS either. it was a real-life perfectly working car. fidz's dad's car. hehehe. well.. i wasn't driving-driving. well.. i was.. ok now im confusing myself. i did drive, around. n i mean, around. not on the road. somewhere at the "parking lot" of the err.. mountain-biking park ? i think ? forgot the name. but we had a hella of a fun time ok ! well.. if u exclude the, "jgn lepas kan clutcchhhhh !" comments ringing in my ears, it was a super fun time. =D yas, sula n me took turns driving.. n feez was our instructor. well that explains the irritating, "jgn lepas kan clutcchhhh" comments. =p fun fun time. hope we can do it again hehe.

yas took her 1st pract last friday. n she went like, "sooo difficult ! difficult sey to handle the steering wheel !" n that encouraged me more to go get my license. -_-" haha. dun worry yasmin, only 1st pract. u'll get the hang of it. GO GO GO ! cey, bobal mcm da penah amek license sey. zzzzzzz. nemind.. soon. soon.

ok now im goin to talk abt Rockstar INXS. those not interested can stop here okie. =)

phewwwwwwwww. MIG IS NOT IN THE BOTTOM 3 !! haha ! ur wrong feez ! kekekeke ! JD, Suzie (YahuuUu.) n Jordis (sobs.) were in the bottom 3. but in the end, Jordis was kicked out. =( why not Sweet Suzie McNeil huh. she's too sweet to become a Rockstar la. go la. shoo la. GRR.
